This blog is about the material and culture of felt, focusing largely on industrial felt for its modern history, its recent proliferation in the worlds of art and design, and because this is the stuff of FELT studio projects. Felt made by hand may appear on occasion since felt manufacturing derives from this rich, ancient tradition.

Features are projects made up of a series of posts that elaborate on an idea while Reports is a collection of reviews about the nature of felt, FELT studio projects and felt works by other artists and designers. All content is written by Kathryn Walter.
