Felissimo Design House, NYC

This FELT Lamp, designed and made by Kathryn Walter, is called Double Pearl for the pattern of light it emanates on surrounding walls. It was produced for this exhibition curated by Danny Seo. 

In response to the environmentally conscious theme of the show, Walter designed and made this sculptural lamp with a shade made from remnant industrial material. The 5” wide perforated white felt is a byproduct of die-cutting plugs for cleaning pipes in mechanical machines. The shade provides a mottled light effect and keeps waste from the landfill.
