Felt: From Home to Handbag, an historical and contemporary survey exhibition
2003

This exhibition curated by archaeologist Ed Keal, looked at felt through the ages, from East to West, from fashion through industry, and from yurts to interior design, focusing on felt pieces from the ROM’s collection. A section about the use of felt in contemporary design profiled Kathryn Walter’s work with FELT Studio and included the FELT armchair, the first FELT handbag, FELT Hanging Pearl lamp, and a one-of-a-kind baby bunting of fur and felt.
