Melita House, Toronto

With a collaborative approach, the interior designer offered sketches of petal-like shapes arranged around a pendant as a point of departure. Walter responded with forms made by pinching and stitching felt pieces into floral shapes. These are pinned securely like delicate hardware to a felt support fixed to the ceiling. The pendant light, more geometric in design, hangs from the centre point, complementing and contrasting the diamond shapes above.
