Britannia Mine Museum BC, TRB Architecture

TRB Architecture (aka Ratio Design) of Vancouver were interested in the rock-like look of the FELT Striation series for this Museum about Mining. Walter adapted the layered affect by incorporating copper bands into the mix of felt strips to give an abstracted allusion to copper deposits. The panels line the entrance and interior of the theater of the Beaty Lundin Visitor Centre, completed in 2010.

The project won a North American Copper in Architecture Award with TRB Architecture in 2011.
