'124 Pieces of Felt: A Primer for the Home' was a publication and installation created for 'Come Up To My Room: Toronto's Alternative Design Event' curated by Pamela Matharu and Christina Zeidler at the Gladstone Hotel, Toronto, 2006
Robert Morris meets Martha Stewart in this minimalist, Do-It-Yourself Guide to Rustic Modern Living. '124 Pieces of Felt' was exhibited as a room installation with accompanying publication/catalogue. The material culture of felt is explored through its broad range of physical properties as an insulator, a cushion, a padding, a liner, a sound dampener. Felt is fire resistant, warm and organic, made from wool, a renewable resource. All items are fashioned from simple squares and rectangles of industrial felt to ensure maximum yield and low-waste production.
